Introducing Spring Will Be a Little Late: a musical ode to the bittersweet arrival of Wisconsin spring.
Now Streaming – Live April 4/5
This EP is a celebration of the resilience and hope that defines the arrival of spring in the Midwest.
Spring in Wisconsin is like a shy guest who arrives fashionably late, never in a hurry to make its grand entrance. This elusive season often plays hard to get, teasing us with fleeting warm days before retreating back into the cold embrace of winter.
The Track List
- Our EP kicks off with "Spring Will Be a Little Late This Year," a 1940’s traditional pop tune that flirts with the possibility of jinxing the weather and coaxing spring to make an early appearance – we hope you can sense the whimsical anticipation (impatience) for warmer days.
- In our second arrangement, we intertwine the uplifting spirit of two jazz classics: "Someday My Prince Will Come" exudes longing and anticipation for love's arrival, while "Up Jumped Spring" bursts forth with the joy and energy of new beginnings. Both pieces, in their own right, are emblematic of hope and optimism, making them a natural fit for a musical marriage.
- "Don't Let Go" is an original that acknowledges the challenges of the long winter months and offers solace to those who struggle to find their light during the darkest days.
It's a reminder that spring, with its promise of growth and renewal, is always around the corner.
